It was all the fun of the Christmas fayre at St Catherine’s on Saturday when relatives, residents and friends got together to enjoy the festive event.
People flocked to the stalls to buy books, CDs, religious gifts and delicious cakes as well as some of the fabulous jewellery donated by Wendy Chin, who regularly practices Tia chi with the home’s residents.
Prizes were on offer in a raffle and tombola and there was even a visit from Santa to add to the seasonal mood!
Activities co-ordinator at St Catherine’s, Richard Dobinson said, “What a fantastic day everyone had! I’d like to thank all the people who volunteered their time and all of those who donated prizes and came along to support us on the day. It was a joy to be part of it all.”
The proceeds from the day go towards extra entertainment and treats for residents throughout the year.
