Choral treat for St Catherine’s residents

Pupils from English Martyrs Primary School brought the gift of song to our residents with a performance of Christmas songs and carols in the home.

Before gathering in the large lounge, small groups visited some of the residents who were unable to attend the main performance and sang Away in a Manger and We Wish You A Merry Christmas to each one.

Festive treats and refreshments were served to round off the event and the pupils were thanked personally by St Cuthbert’s Care Chief Executive, Moira Ashman. “The true spirit of Christmas is about giving to others and you’ve brought a wonderful gift of song to our residents,” said Moira. “Thank you for the joy you’ve given to everyone here this afternoon.”
