Being a foster carer is an invigorating role which changes lives – both for the carers and for the children involved, says one couple who have been supported by the agency in caring for toddlers for the last two years. Recommending this kind of opportunity to others foster carer, Helen Todd, said: “It’s given us a real purpose and a lovely meaning to life. It’s the most worthwhile thing we’ve ever done.”
As part of national Foster Care Fortnight, this month, Fostering North East is inviting people who are interested in a caring for children to call in on Wednesday 10 June, at St Cuthbert’s House on the West Road, Newcastle, to find out more.
Fostering North East Manager, Sarah Croft commented: “The majority of our carers find fostering very rewarding. Fostering North East is always on hand for support and we have very close working relationships with them all.”
