Sweet-toothed fayre-goers helped raise over £400 for St Catherine’s nursing home this week.
The old-fashioned sweeties and cake stalls proved very popular with residents and their relatives at the home’s summer fayre at the weekend. Bric a brac, books and tombola stalls all did a roaring trade too to help raise £430 for the amenities fund.
“Thanks to all the volunteers, family and friends who donated goods to the fayre and to everyone who attended,” said Richard Dobinson, the home’s Activities Coordinator. “The fair was very successful.”
Raffle tickets are now on sale for the Holy Cross Home’s summer raffle, to be drawn on 25th August. Prizes include a bottle hamper worth £80 and a chocolate hamper.
