It may be September now, but the return of the summery weather gave some Holy Cross residents an opportunity for a day out at the beach this week.
It was all aboard our mini-bus to South Shields and, when word spreads about the little suntrap they enjoyed at Minchella’s Café on the seafront, there’s sure to be a queue for the next trip on Friday.
The weather men are promising an Indian Summer this year so everyone is hoping for a few more strolls along the seafront with tea and biscuits before winter arrives.
