Our Parkhead Day Centre for adults with learning disabilities rolled out the welcome mat to dozens of visitors when they held a coffee morning recently.
Relatives, friends, carers and neighbours all flocked to the event which had been organised to raise funds in support of the Centre’s festive activities. Plans already taking shape include an outing to a panto and organising a Christmas party.
Staff, service users and many of the Centre’s supporters contributed to the coffee morning event by baking cakes, making flavoured coffees and serving guests, making sure everyone had the best time possible.
Sylvia, whose son regularly attends Parkhead, said, “Our son loves Parkhead and it was so great to see everyone together.”
