Residents know how to give a warm welcome

Residents living in our home in Alnwick for people with learning disabilities pulled out all the stops to put on a welcoming party for their new service manager, Joanne Dixon.

Supported by staff, they decorated the lounge and baked tempting treats, which they served to family and friends who gathered for the occasion. Special guests included our Chief Executive, Moira Ashman and Director of Care Services and Deputy Chief Executive, Sheila Errington.

Charity staff member, Peter Meek, provided the music with his collection of guitars, a banjo and ukulele which many guests enjoyed trying their hand at playing, too.

“The whole day was such a great success, our residents really know how to give a warm welcome” said Joanne. “We had lots of positive comments from people who came along, including one who can’t wait for the next get-together!”
