A spooky whodunit took place to mark Halloween at our Parkhead Day Centre for people with learning disabilities – and the race was on to find the culprit!
There were no holds barred when it came to fancy dress costumes and no limits when it came to unearthing the clues that would solve the mystery. However, the prize for the most ghoulish clue had to go to the one hidden inside a frozen ‘brain’!
Everyone in the group was a dab hand at unravelling the most stubborn of clues, though, meaning there was no hiding place for the guilty party, played expertly by Darren, one of Parkhead’s service users.
“There was a packed programme of things to do and everyone had great fun from start to finish,” said Parkhead Manager, Nicola Johnson. “It also gave our drama group the ideal opportunity to perfect their Thriller dance which they’ll perform for an audience later this year – and it’s looking great!”
And a hoard of horrors at our Activity Centre Ghoulish celebrations were a big hit at our Alan Shearer Activity Centre, too, with people packing in to share and scare, including quite a few guests from our other disability services.
With games like ‘pin the boo on the ghost’, spooky cakes and lots of imaginative fancy dress outfits, a fang-tastic time was had by all!
