Students from Newcastle High School for Girls surprised our St Catherine’s residents by giving an impromptu musical performance when they arrived to volunteer recently.
The six girls attracted a sizeable group of residents who gathered in the comfortable lounge to enjoy a virtuoso violin performance by Year 12 pupil, Angela Lochmuller.
Our residents were delighted by a series of soaring classical pieces before enjoying an up-tempo tango finale.
But, the entertainment didn’t stop there with all six girls helping our residents take part in a few gripping games of Play Your Cards Right.
“Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the performance and had great fun with the games, too,” said Volunteer Co-ordinator, Nicola Milne. “I’d like to thank the girls for the time they regularly give to help us keep our residents happy.”
