Our St Catherine’s residents have played their own part in preparing for Armistice Day with our talented volunteers lending a helping hand.
A group of Year 12 students from Sacred Heart School and our arts and crafts expert volunteer, Adele Southern, joined our residents to create commemorative poppy wreaths for the home.
Resident, Dorothy Barrow, was thrilled to have made her own contribution to the wreaths, which will be placed in the home’s lounge and family room.
As well as expressing their creative side, residents taking part in the session enjoy chatting to the volunteers and learning about their ambitions, too.
“I’ve really enjoyed today,” said Dorothy, “the girls are a pleasure to be with.”
