All together now! Panto event is a joint effort

A good time was had by all at our Parkhead Centre in Ashington recently – oh, yes it was!

Our centre for adults with learning disabilities was jam-packed with people enjoying a taste of Act One theatre company’s mini panto, Aladdin – cleverly performed by just two people!

And it wasn’t just the panto that had everyone smiling. Our service users worked hard to plan and prepare the event, making sure every detail made people feel really welcome.

As soon as guests arrived they were greeted by Claire Patterson; Michelle Baxter and Lisa Carol served their delicious bacon and lentil soup; Katy Brown served teas and coffees and Michael Gallon and Jamie Faulkner were on hand to tidy up after everyone had left, too.

“We have to give a special mention to Simon Hill and Hayley Brown,” said Manager, Nicola Johnson. “They were invited on stage to join in the panto and were so good, you would have thought they were part of the performance!”
