As the countdown to Christmas gets underway, our St Catherine’s Nursing Home residents have an advent calendar full of interesting things to look forward to opening each day.
The hand-crafted advent calendar was lovingly created by volunteers from Sacred Heart High School under the guidance of fellow volunteer, Adele Southern, who has regularly brought her craft expertise to the residents of St Catherine’s.
Each of the 25 colourful envelopes contains little-known facts and old wives tales that can be opened and read each day in the lead up to Christmas.
The entertaining contents are sure to bring a smile to everyone’s face and have already proved a hit with both residents and visiting relatives.
