A group of 17 youngsters and their foster carers were treated to an afternoon at the panto thanks to our Fostering North East team – and one young boy almost stole the show!
The festive trip to see Aladdin at Sunderland Empire was a great success, especially when one of the foster children was invited on stage to join the cast. The six-year old had a fantastic time and loved every minute in front of the audience.
In fact, everyone had such a good time that the fostering team have already had requests for a return visit for next year’s panto.
“It’s an annual event that everyone enjoys,” said Fostering North East Operations Manager, Joann Gibson. “It’s a great way to say ‘thank you’ to foster parents, a treat for the children and a joy for us to see the growing bonds between them.”
