Colouring activity chases the winter blues away

Winter may be lingering, but the dull days and frosty mornings were a distant memory when our St Catherine’s residents got colourful and creative with their latest activity.

Choosing from a rainbow of pens and pencils and exercising their finest colouring skills, our residents made pictures of spring flowers burst into life, brightening everyone’s day in the process.

Supported by the home’s Activity Co-ordinator, Kat Brennan and regular volunteers from Sacred Heart School, there were some very proud smiles at the end of the craft session.

“I didn’t know if I could do it,” said one of the budding artists, Alan Mathieson, who was happy to show off his gorgeous picture of a flower bouquet.

“I love the colours so much I’m going to have this framed for my room,” added fellow resident, Dorothy Barrow.

Craft sessions are just one of a number of regular activities on offer for our St Catherine’s residents.
