St Catherine’s Nursing home resident, Alan Mathieson, was delighted when two special visitors turned up to mark his 67th wedding anniversary.
Of course, there couldn’t be an anniversary without Alan’s wife, Eileen, but he was delighted to share the celebration with another special family member, too.
Granddaughter, Sarah, had travelled from Australia to stay with the family throughout the festive season and just had time to fit in an anniversary visit before having to return home the next day.
The couple were all smiles as they posed for their photo with Sarah. Asked what he thought of the special occasion, Alan summed it up in two words, “It’s fantastic!”
