Popular songs from days gone by had our Holy Cross residents singing along when entertainer, Gilly, performed for them recently.
Everyone had a great time as Gilly sang a selection of well-remembered songs from the 50’s 60’s and 70’s. Toes were tapping to Summer Holiday and Great Balls of Fire; romance was in the air with Something Stupid and Pretty Woman and people couldn’t help but sing along to Delilah, These Boots Are Made for Walking and My Way.
“Our residents recognised all the songs and had a wonderful time joining in,” said the home’s Activity Co-ordinator, Clare Quinn. “Everyone agreed the whole afternoon was a massive hit!”
