A toe-tapping good time for St Patrick’s Day

A group of ukulele players put on a fabulous performance for our St Catherine’s Nursing Home residents to help them celebrate St Patrick’s Day.

The Dam Jammers, brightened everyone’s day with their brilliant music, featuring songs by The Kinks, George Formby and lots of popular toe-tappers.

The St Patrick’s Day celebrations at St Catherine’s started after breakfast with an Irish quiz and some Irish music CDs to get everyone in the mood. Then, after lunch, the lounge was packed with residents, eager to give a warm welcome to the band members.

“We all had a wonderful day,” said St Catherine’s Activity Co-ordinator, Kat Brennan. “There were smiling faces everywhere and people couldn’t resist clapping along to the catchy tunes!”
