There’s nothing the members of our Parkhead Day Centre in Ashington enjoy more than inviting everyone to join them for a day of fun and games.
This year’s Easter Fair was as popular as ever with huge support from family, friends and neighbours. As well as attractions such as the Easter egg tombola, ‘hook-a-duck’ and the ‘Spin-a-Prize’ wheel, there was a range of arts and crafts for sale – all made by members themselves.
The centre’s own music group, whose version of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” was a huge hit recently, entertained guests with “So long, farewell” from The Sound of Music.
All the money raised on the day will be added to the centre’s funds for outings and entertainment.
Support Worker, Hannah Chappel, said, “It was a lovely day and another opportunity for us to connect with our wonderful support network. We look forward to our next event, which will be our Parkhead 20th Anniversary in June. We hope it will be an event to remember!”
