If you’ve ever thought about fostering a child, you can find out more by visiting our Fostering North East team for an informal chat at their stand in Washington Galleries this Friday, 8 April.
Many children and young people in the region are unable to live with their own families and foster carers play a vital role in providing them with loving homes where they are cherished and receive the care and guidance they need to grow and realise their potential.
Even if you have never fostered before, our Fostering North East team provides all the support you need to be confident in the role of foster carer, including first-class training and a 24 hour support line.
“This is the latest stop in our search for foster carers around the region for some of the many children who urgently need loving homes,” said Fostering North East Operations Manager, Joann Gibson. “Visiting our stand gives an ideal opportunity for people to ask any questions, take away some information or just have a chat to see if becoming a foster carer is for them.”
Look out for our colourful banners outside the Sainsbury store in the Galleries Mall between 9am and 2pm.
