Holy Cross resident, Audrey Foster, has admitted to being ‘flabbergasted’ after a stunning performance by the girls from The Worx dance and stage school in Sunderland.
The visit was arranged by the niece of another resident, Norma Johnson, who is a friend of Worx dance teacher Beth Greener.
For a full hour, the girls demonstrated their versatility through a variety of dance styles including jazz, acrobatic, classical ballet and street dance. Many of the girls delighted our residents with their vocal talents too, as well as costume changes and a stunning chorus line for a special seaside-themed routine.
Resident, Dorothy Clark, who was herself a dance teacher for nearly 60 years, said that she couldn’t believe how professional they were and how much she loved the costumes.
Activity Co-ordinator, Clare Quinn, said ”The Worx girls were a massive success! Everyone has been asking me when they are coming back.”
