Musical afternoon is a real pick-me-up

Our St Catherine’s residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of music when local singer/songwriter, Christine Rosemond, came to entertain them in the home’s spacious lounge.

After a rousing performance of Land and Hope and Glory, the selection of songs included wartime favourite, ‘We’re Going to Hang Out the Washing on the Siegfried Line’; popular hymn, ‘All Things Bright and Beautiful’ and fun sing-alongs like ‘How Much is that Doggy in the Window.’

“Everyone had a great time listening, singing or clapping along to the songs,” said St Catherine’s activity co-ordinator, Kat Brennan. “Music is such a therapeutic experience and a tonic for our residents. Christine’s songs really brightened everyone’s day.”
