Creative residents in our St Catherine’s Nursing home have transformed the humble paper plate into a work of art.
Using a selection of primary colour paints and sponges, individual dollops of colour were mixed, blended and turned into various designs including abstract patterns, trees and flowers.
St Catherine’s activity co-ordinator, Kat Brennan said, “It’s such a simple idea, but everyone loved seeing the colours change as they mixed the blues, reds and yellows and there were some pretty eye-catching results.”
Everyone found the painting session really relaxing and their works of art will be put on show for visitors and other residents to enjoy, too.
