As Foster Care Fortnight gets underway, our Fostering North East team is stepping up their search for more foster carers at their latest event in Newcastle.
Come and meet the team at their stand inside the portico at Newcastle Central Station this Tuesday, 17 May between 12noon and 4pm to find out how you could foster a child.
And, if you would like to hear from a foster carer first hand, visit our stand between 12 noon and 1pm when one of our visiting carers will be on hand to share her experiences and answer any questions.
“Nationally, more than 9,000 fostering families will be needed this year and the numbers are growing,” said Fostering North East Operations Manager, Joann Gibson. “If you want to make a difference to a child’s life, are over 21 and have a spare room, that’s all you need to start enquiring about becoming a foster carer with us.”
