Staff and residents at our care homes for older people in Sunderland and Newcastle are hoping to welcome lots of new visitors this Friday, 17 June as they mark National Care Home Open Day.
Between 10.30am and 3.30pm, our homes will be rolling out the red carpet for anyone who would like to take a look around and meet our staff and residents – there’ll be plenty of treats and entertainment available, too.
Our Holy Cross Nursing Home in Sunderland has a special Mass in the beautiful St Jeanne Jugan Chapel in the morning, and coffee, cream scones, hand massages, music and entertainment will be available throughout the day.
At St Catherine’s Nursing Home in Newcastle, singer, Steady Eddie will be entertaining everyone in the spacious lounge during the afternoon with his special mix of songs from the 50’s and 60’s. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cream scones will be on offer for everyone attending.
If you’d like to come along to either of our special Care Home Open Day events or would like more information, please contact our home managers: Cynthia Agbo at Holy Cross in Sunderland on 0191 5670862 or Anne Tonge at St Catherine’s in Newcastle on 0191 2452400.
We look forward to seeing you!
