From garden patch to garden acres

After checking out their own courtyard garden in the early morning sunshine, a group of residents from our St Catherine’s Nursing Home headed off to visit a garden on a slightly larger scale.

Our five residents thoroughly enjoyed their scenic journey to Alnwick Garden where the good weather continued as they spent the day looking around the stunning flower displays and water features.

“It was a lovely day out, we really enjoyed ourselves,” said Helen, who has her own garden patch at St Catherine’s. “Of course, we had to have fish and chips for lunch – it’s become a bit of a traditional meal for us when we go on outings now!”

The trip was such a great success that Helen and fellow resident, Rose, were still discussing it well into the evening.
