Friendships made by one lady during her short respite stay in our St Catherine’s Nursing Home led to a very special celebration for her birthday.
Bonds were quickly made at St Catherine’s when Jessie came to stay for a few days, so when her birthday fell just weeks after returning home, she couldn’t wait to return and spend a little time celebrating with a visit to her new friends, Helen and Rose.
Our staff helped to make the occasion really special, setting up a table for lunch in the conservatory room which overlooks the sheltered courtyard garden. There, the three friends could spend time chatting and catching up while enjoying a delicious meal together.
“I’ve had lots of lovely presents for my birthday and this is certainly one of them,” said Jessie. “To have someone to talk to is the best medicine you can have, so I’m feeling just fine!”
