An autumn walk along the beach has provided the perfect artistic inspiration for one of our service users from our home for adults with learning disabilities in Bailiffgate, Alnwick.
This beautiful seahorse picture started life in the imagination of our service user, Val, after she took a walk along Alnmouth beach with staff member, Heather Robinson.
“When we got back from our walk, Val wanted to find out about seahorses,” said Heather, “so we looked up some information on the website and found a gorgeous picture for her to colour in. We then transferred her artwork onto special paper and Val ironed it onto canvas and framed it for her room. She is delighted with the result and takes every opportunity to proudly show off her picture.”
