You could be in with a chance of winning a unique novelty cake in time for Christmas.
Heather McLaren, one of the talented team at our Alan Shearer Centre, is well known for her delicious and unusual cakes. Now she’s raffling her latest creation to raise funds for the centre.
The perfectly iced and decorated fruit cake, which features three acrobatic penguins placing a star on the top of a tree, is large enough to keep an entire family satisfied right through the Christmas holidays!
Tickets for the raffle are £1 per strip and will be available from Monday, 5 December from reception at the Alan Shearer Centre and from St Cuthbert’s Care’s reception in St Cuthbert’s House on Newcastle’s West Road. The draw will take place on Monday, 19 December to give the lucky winner time to collect it before Christmas.
The cake will be on display in reception at the Activity Centre, where staff will be guarding it from potential nibblers – we’;re not sure who’s keeping a watch on the staff though!
