Huge congratulations to Julie Thompson, Manager of our Holy Cross Nursing Home, who has just been presented with an award for Special Achievement in Care Leadership and Management Higher Apprentice.
The award recognised Julie’s outstanding accomplishment in gaining her qualification and was presented by Derwentside College where she had completed her course.
Julie was one of only six people in her category to be selected to attend the award ceremony and had been shortlisted from a total of 6,000 entries. As well as feeling immensely proud to receive the award, Julie was delighted to share the stage at the ceremony with guest of honour, Falklands veteran Simon Weston.
“It was a really lovely evening,” said Julie. “I felt really proud to receive the award and it was such an honour to meet Simon Weston.”
