Demi Gray was a surprise visitor when she popped in to St Catherine’s Nursing Home bearing greetings cards and gifts, leaving a trail of smiling faces in her wake.
When Demi decided she really wanted to do something special and spread some Christmas joy this year, she chose to treat St Catherine’s residents to an early taste of Christmas.
Demi joined residents in the lounge and visited many others in their rooms to hand out beautifully wrapped treats of sweets and biscuits and handwritten Christmas cards for every resident.
“I simply felt I wanted to do something nice,” said Demi, “and as Christmas is around the time I lost my Nan, Rose, a few years ago, I felt visiting older people was a perfect way to do something lovely in her name. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone and spreading some Christmas joy.”
Grateful residents were overwhelmed by her generosity and were delighted to learn that Demi will be returning in the future to continue her good deeds.
A huge thank you goes to Demi from everyone at St Cuthbert’s Care and we look forward to welcoming her again soon.
