Some of our St Catherine’s Nursing Home residents have taken time out from making their own Christmas decorations to visit a local garden centre’s festive displays.
The group of friends were supported by staff on a visit to Dobbie’s where they enjoyed soaking up the seasonal atmosphere, admiring the gorgeous decorations and spending a relaxing time admiring the display of beautiful tropical fish.
After a good look round, it was off to the café for a tasty lunch, then back home to share their news with fellow residents.
“I really enjoyed the trip and can’t believe how many things you can buy for Christmas now,” said resident Gill Read. “It was a much simpler time when I was young, but it did feel magical being surrounded by so many lovely things.”
