Safeguarding Lead

Salary: £32,000 to £40,000 per annum.
Hours of Work: Part time hours to be agreed.
Location: Head Office, Newcastle.
Reporting to the Director of Care you will possess an in-depth knowledge of safeguarding protocols as well as experience of decision making at a senior level.
You will provide an efficient safeguarding service by developing and maintaining a safeguarding framework and policies
You will support, train and advise managers and staff on all safeguarding matters.
You should be highly motivated, engaging and driven
Have excellent organisational skills and a compassionate approach in your work with vulnerable individuals
You will possess excellent communication skills and be an articulate and confident with all individuals including external professionals and stakeholders
A social work qualification is desirable but not essential.
You will be required to a have a full UK driving licence and access to a car for business use.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure and barring service (DBS) check.
