At Fostering North East, St Cuthbert’s Care’s fostering agency, we believe every child should have a voice and our recent Young Stars consultation was a shining example of that in action.
Young Stars, our youth group for children in foster care, gave young people the chance to share their ideas for future activities and their creativity even sparked a playful debate: should we rename the group “Super Stars”?!
Of course, the session wasn’t all work. Our young people and fostering team enjoyed a well-earned lunch at Pizza Express, followed by a round of Tree Top Golf – the perfect way to celebrate their input and strengthen connections within the group.
As a small agency, we’re proud to create spaces where children in our care are heard, empowered to make choices and actively shape their own experiences.
We can’t wait to bring some of their brilliant ideas to life!
