Christmas Fayre Fun
Christmas celebrations got off to the perfect start for members of our The Hub at Parkhead day centre when they welcomed visitors to their cracking Christmas fayre.
Held in the nearby Ashington Scouts Hut, a big thanks to the scouts for letting us use their hall, free of charge!
The extra space meant there was plenty of room for family, friends and people from the local community to gather and enjoy the festive event.
Our members were the perfect hosts, greeting everyone with their beaming smiles and showing them round the stalls which were filled with items they’d proudly helped to make.
A raffle, seasonal crafts and a bottle pull had people queuing up to join in the fun and member, James added to the excitement with his frequent roars of ‘It’s Christmas!”
There was plenty of time to chill, too, with everyone enjoying a catch up over a cuppa and delicious home-baked treats.
“Everyone had a brilliant time,” said manager, Claire. “What’s more, we’re delighted to say we’ve raised over £900 which will help provide extra treats for our members. A massive thanks to everyone who supported our fayre.”
