Like Sarah, one of our deputy managers, who loves to share her passion for animals.
On a recent visit to see her grandparents in our St Catherine’s nursing home, she arrived with Maisy, one of the family dogs and her favourite guinea pig, Peanut.
“I know Granny Shirley and Granda love it when I visit with some of my menagerie,” laughed Sarah, “so I thought other residents might enjoy a guinea pig cuddle or a doggie stroke, too. There’s something really special about sharing a moment or two with my gorgeous pets and seeing everyone’s faces light up.”
Maisy and Peanut were definitely the centre of attention for staff and residents, alike, bringing beaming smiles and a healthy dose of animal therapy for everyone who met them.
