Not many people can say they’ve cuddled a fox, but our members at Hub@Parkhead Day Centre in Ashington have just enjoyed this incredibly rare brush with nature.
After being hand-reared, Zante the fox was incredibly friendly and trusting towards humans making him unsuitable for release into the wild. So, when his previous owners no longer wanted him, passionate animal lover, Steve welcomed him into his life – and to share his home with his collection of other unwanted or abandoned animals.
Now, the animals have a new lease of life spreading joy wherever they go, travelling with Steve as Zante Fox and Friends.
“We’re always looking for amazing things for our members to experience,” said manager, Claire, “and they don’t really come much more special than this.”
