The new Oliver McGowan training has been rolled out across our services. Level 2, delivered face-to-face, gave staff the unique opportunity to learn directly from people with lived experience.
We were delighted to welcome individuals who shared their personal experiences of living with a learning disability and/or autism. Mary, one of our guest speakers, reflected on why she wanted to get involved: “To help people understand that people with learning disabilities and autism are just human beings!”
Stories like Mary’s not only deepen our team’s understanding but also reinforce our commitment to delivering outstanding, compassionate, person-centered care.
