Lived experience supports deeper understanding

Some of our foster carers attending AJ's Brain training

In their latest Support Group, our foster carers have gained an invaluable insight into autism and ADHD.

The training session was led by psychology graduate and neurodiversity consultant and trainer, AJ, who shared her lived experience to look at how the neurodivergent brain works.

The AJ’s Brain training session had already been well received by teams across our disability services and was added into our foster carers’ training programme to support them in their knowledge and understanding.

AJ’s Brain is one of the many, regular training sessions arranged by our Fostering North East team to support our foster carers in their role.
