Members from our Hub@Parkhead day service in Ashington for people with learning disabilities enjoyed some living history with a trip back in time at Beamish Open Air Museum.
Everyone was thrilled to experience first-hand what it was like to live in the early to mid-19th century – from trying on police uniforms and learning about coal mining to travelling on the tram and enjoying freshly made fish and chips.
“We packed everything we could into our day,” said Senior Support Worker, Bethany. “Everyone had lots of questions and I’m sure they’ll be sharing what they’ve learned with their fellow members for days!”
