Roll up, roll up! Carnival Day at the Alan Shearer Activity Centre gave members the chance to watch or take part in plate spinning, hook-a-duck, soft axe throwing, giant bubble making, donkey rides … and lots more!
The colourful event spanned the entire outdoor area where all ages and abilities enjoyed a range of fun activities, kept cool with an ice cream and enjoyed a feast of hot dogs, popcorn and candy floss.
“It can be so difficult to find somewhere children with disabilities can play safely, freely and at no cost,” said Activity Centre manager, Jackie, “but there was something for everyone at the carnival. It’s fast becoming a highlight of our summer calendar.”
