Mother of eight, Nancy, who lives in our St Catherine’s nursing home in Newcastle, is still helping to look after people whenever she can.
When record-breaking temperatures were forecast, Nancy was first in line to help our staff make up some refreshing fruit kebabs for her fellow residents.
Juicy melon, pineapple, grapes and strawberries were soon threaded onto kebab sticks then swiftly handed out to help make everyone feel refreshed.
“I really enjoyed making them,” said Nancy. “After bringing up eight children, helping others is second nature.”
