Young people living in our Auton children’s homes in Newcastle, Sunderland and Darlington have received their GCSE results – and they’ve all received the results they hoped for.
After passing their GCSEs with flying colours, one of our young people at Auton Darlington said, “It’s amazing how many hurdles I’ve overcome and I’ve still smashed it!”
Amy Ward, Manager of Auton Darlington, said, “I’m absolutely over the moon that our young people have passed their GCSEs and with fantastic results. I’m so proud of them. We’re treating them to a well-deserved day of pampering, some retail therapy and a takeaway tea, thanks to our charity’s head office!”
Nic Gilbert, Chief Executive of St Cuthbert’s Care added, “The young people living in our children’s homes have had a challenging start in life, yet they have risen to one of their toughest academic tests and achieved great results. I hope they enjoy their well-deserved treats today.”
