Feeding Feathered Friends

The week has got off to a flying start at our Parkhead Resource Centre, today, as guests have been whipping up homemade bird feeders.

Taking turns in preparing a mix of seeds in melted lard for food and crafting feeders from paper cups, Matthew, Kay, Jennifer and Toni were far from winging it. Their brilliant handiwork will ensure our feathered friends can be fed whenever they visit our grounds.

“We have found that making bird feeders is doubly fun,” said Manager, Claire. “As our guests loved making them, but they’ve been excited to see them in action, too.”

It sounds like it’s a feather in the caps of our budding ornithologists – well done, everyone!
