There was plenty of cheer at Holy Cross as fellow residents raised a toast to celebrate Edna’s 100th birthday in glorious sunshine.
The sprightly centenarian enjoyed plenty of fun and laughter, oodles of presents, a garden get-together with her family – and a special card from the Queen, of course.
And, as our residents joined in with the celebrations in the home’s gorgeous gardens, they all joked that they’d ordered the sun especially to make Edna’s day perfect.
“Everyone seemed to have something to contribute to make Edna’s celebration extra special,” said Duty Manager, Sam. “It really was a perfect day.”
Alfresco fun continued all Bank Holiday, too, as our residents enjoyed ice cream and cooling drinks in the sunshine.
What a great start to the first month of summer.
