The jingle of the ice cream van still rings out on sunny days in our St Catherine’s nursing home, letting everyone know their special ice cream bicycle is serving tempting treats.
Our staff are able to play the trademark chimes on mobile devices as they work around the home and the music is proving really popular with our residents.
“It takes me right back to being a little girl,” said Veronica, “and remembering the excitement of buying a cornet from the ice cream man.”
And there’s no stinting on the treats on offer, with three different flavours of ice cream, sprinkles, raspberry syrup and chocolate flakes.
Our Nancy was so spoilt for choice she decided to have everything!
