There’s nothing nicer than a freshly-made sandwich – and residents living in our Holy Cross nursing home were quick to agree as they got together to mark National Sandwich Day.
Of course, our residents made the occasion into a lively discussion, too, deciding to cast their votes for their favourite sarnies.
Tuna came out tops, with egg mayo a close second.
“It’s always nice to have a chat and make sandwiches together,” said Mary. “It brings back happy memories of all the sandwiches I used to make for days out with the children or for them to take to school.”
