With the Olympic Games now in full swing and the nation cheering on Team GB, guests at our Parkhead Resource Centre have been getting into the Olympic spirit by hosting their own games and ceremony.
Opening with a parade of their own iconic Olympic flames made with coloured paper, our competitors then moved on to the events. Competing in football and the famous egg and spoon race, much fun was had by all as our guests all achieved a place on the podium – even receiving their own medals!
Manager, Claire, said: “We have had a wonderful day bringing the Olympics to Parkhead. Our competitors all did themselves proud and thoroughly deserved their medals. We look forward to hosting again in 2024!”
