Our very own superstar Claire Flynn, Senior Residential Care Officer at our Alan Shearer Residential Home, is on the run … sorry we meant, she is taking part in the Great North Run this Sunday in support of the Alan Shearer Foundation.
“Completing the GNR was on my ‘things to do before I’m 50’ list” said Claire. “There was no doubt I would run to raise money for the Alan Shearer Foundation – I’ve worked at the Centre for just over 9 years, and I get to see how special it is each and every day.”
Claire will admit herself she’s not a natural runner but has received lots of support and guidance from her work mates, and we have every faith she will cross the finish line in South Shields a winner! GO on our Claire!!
