The latest special guests to visit our St Catherine’s nursing home didn’t have much conversation to share, but many of our residents were thrilled to see them and can’t wait for them to return.
What guinea pigs, Cookie and Coconut, lacked in chat, however, they more than made up for in cuddles – and arriving with their owner, our home’s Young Ambassador, 14-year-old, Autumn, was an extra bonus.
“I wasn’t sure at first,” said Nancy, “but they won me over, they’re so cute. And it’s always lovely to see Autumn.”
Our guinea pig guests join a growing list of cute and loveable pets who share their cuddles with our residents, helping to boost their wellbeing.
It’s not just Doctor Dolittle who enjoys talking to the animals.
