At 11am, Remembrance Day was observed across our services with two minutes’ silence in honour of those who have served and continue to serve in our armed forces.
Young people living in our Auton residential children’s homes have shared their Remembrance display with their local community by creating a stunning window display of poppies and silhouettes for passers-by to see.
And residents living in our St Catherine’s and Holy Cross nursing homes have their handiwork on display throughout their homes, including a poignant memorial wall and a stunning carpet of poppies in their chapel.
Laying a wreath in St Catherine’s chapel with Wellbeing Co-ordinator and Veteran, Zaeley, resident, Joan said, “The chapel is beautiful and it’s an absolute honour to lay this wreath today.”
